Timber Works

Timber work starts with measurement. Sections and joints are decided before members reach site, and the assembly sequence follows from them. That keeps on-site cutting and adjustment to a minimum, and keeps the joints clean.

Outdoors, timber works constantly against water and sun, so the job begins with sections and joints: how posts meet the ground, how beams lock together, where the roof load travels. In gazebo and pergola work we resolve connections with traditional joinery plus concealed steel fixings, and lift contact points clear of the ground to reduce moisture load. On tiled or waterproof-lined roofs, drainage and eaves detailing are planned during fabrication rather than improvised on site. Surface protection is selected for the specific exposure, and the maintenance interval is agreed from the outset.
